Hot & Warm Energetics

The feeling you get when you are cozied up in a wool blanket and sipping homemade hot cocoa by the fire is the feeling that encompasses your body with hot and warm energy foods and herbs...

Today I am covering my favorite topic in the world... energetics! More specifically, hot & warm energy!

Hot & warming foods pictured above: Organic cinnamon sticks, organic turmeric powder, organic ginger powder, black/red/white peppercorns, Pasture-raised chicken eggs, green-lipped mussels, grass-fed and finished lamb lung, grass-fed and finished lamb trachea, grass-fed and finished lamb kidneys, grass-fed and finished goat heart, grass-fed and finished venison, and ostrich liver

Hot and warming foods move energy upwards and outwards from the core....warming the body from the inside out. They increase blood flow and circulation. Hot & warming foods move energy upwards and outwards.

This energy is particularly great at improving circulation and nourishes the energy (qi, also known as the energy of everything) of the organs.

If a dog had cancer and was an energetic hot dog, this would be very important to consider in treatment since many cancer drugs and herbs are energetically warming. Herbs like turmeric, horseradish, and ginger would add to the chronic inflammation and may not aid in recovery. It'd be best to dose cooling or neutral herbs to balance out the dog's qi instead!

Some signs that a dog has warm or hot energy are...

  • Seeks cool environments

  • Red skin & eyes

  • Panting at rest

  • Unquenchable thirst

  • Prone to irritation of the skin

  • Food sensitivities

  • Dry skin

  • Generally restless

  • Tips of ears are warm to touch when at rest

  • Suffer from allergies

  • Anxiety

My other dog Hoover is very much a hot dog... he is very spastic, never wants to be covered under blankets, always hot to touch (at rest), and deals with anxiety issues. Therefore, I focus on mainly feeding him cooling foods to balance out his Yin deficiency.

An example is a hot herb is turmeric. Turmeric is warming. Therefore, this root will commonly worsen any hot or dry conditions. This would make it a poor choice for a dog like Hoover that is energetically hot or warm.

What Other Foods Have A Warming Energetic?

  • Venison

This is not a full list of all the warm and hot foods but this will give you an idea of what foods do!

Did you know... that hot dogs are becoming more and more common with increased toxins, vaccines, and more!

Hot & warming foods match best to cold/neutral to aid in bringing energy forces back to balance... see how all the energy ties together?

There's energy everywhere. And in order to see, feel, and use it... you need to change the way you perceive it! In order to truly harness and interact with energetics both visible and invisible, we need to alter the way we view the power of food.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and Always Keep Exploring.
